The colorful visuals have aged very well (RS1 had a drab gray color throughout)
It's one of the better looking games on the Wii from a technical standpoint.
Has a new ninja cowboy focused atmosphere and theme (instead of rehashing, like many sequels do)
Is paced very well, wastes no time and is full of action.
The 1:1 swordfighting is more complex and feels much better than the clunky swinging of the previous game.
The combat lets you switch between swordplay and gunfighting seamlessly (as opposed to being segmented in RS1)
The level design is really simplistic and the areas are very small.
Feels more like a series of levels than a believable interconnected lived-in game world.
