I'm sure that back in the grand old days of...whatever year this was released, it was kind of a sports fanboy's wet dream to see the likes of Michael Jordan and Larry Bird duke it out 1-on-1 in a no-holds-barred competition to see just who was the greatest basketball player of the era. Nowadays, though, the game falls flat. But not for the reasons you'd think.
JvBSOoO is full of neat little mini-games like a free shot competition, slam dunk Olympics, and one-on-one half court action. But that's literally all you get: just mini-games. You could just as easily have gotten EA's latest NBA Live game and have Jordan and Bird square off the way they were meant to, in full court with a dozen other great players providing backup dribbling atop the varnished hardwood colosseum of your choosing. Instead, here's a compilation of mini-games for ya! Not the best bang for your buck.
