*BEST GAME OF 2002*

*BEST SOUNDTRACK*

Maybe I'm just biased because I am absolutely, positively, scarily obsessed with anything & everything to do with the 1980s, but I LOOOOOOOOVED this game like Prince Adam loved Teela (see? 80s!). The choice of setting it in 1980s Miami during the height of the cocaine trade was pitch-perfect for the series. The atmosphere was so uncannily recreated that playing the game literally feels like stepping back into that glorious age of roller skates, big hair, boxy cars, cassette tapes, and Ted Turner.

You know what was fun? Buying properties like the ice cream factory, the strip club, and the taxi depot, and then collecting earnings on them. Why wasn't that continued on in all the other games? Property management is what ALL the cool kids are doing.

Rockstar Games: if you (or anyone who has any pull with you) can read this, hear my plea: Grand Theft Auto IV was very, very, very, very good. So please, please, PLEASE make a next-gen GTA game with the same graphics & gameplay engine that takes place in a tropical 1980s location again. PLEEEEEEEEASSSSEEEEE!!!!! That would make me happier than a Gremlin during a blackout (80s!).
