Rock Band is the newest game from former Guitar Hero developers Harmonix. The game is very similar to guitar hero except now we're talking about a whole band. Drums, Guitar, Bass and Microphone, although you only get one guitar in the bundle.
This game is clearly the step up from Guitar hero, it ads a group mentality to the experience which is just something that elevates the entertainment to previously unseen territories. The feeling you get when all members ace a song just blows any Music/Rhythm game away. I find drums and guitar to be the more entertaining instruments mainly because I am not a good singer but also because they have a more challenging aspect to them.
The Guitar is a straight up copy of the guitar hero experience except that there are lower fret buttons, I however find these quite useless. The difficulty of the songs isn't as high as guitar hero either although it takes skill playing on expert.
The Drums are my personal favourites. The most appealing aspect is that the game actually teaches you to play the drums, playing on expert is pretty much playing the real deal. I find the drums actually being the hardest instrument in the game.
Singing is my least favourite and it is most remenisent of a karoeke game like singstar, although while playing on harder difficulties the game can get quite picky. It also helps knowing the lyrics before singing.
All together this is a great package and I recommend this to anyone who wants the best Multiplayer experience possible in gaming!
