Games I've played--that were memorable and fun. As of 1/4/2012. In reverse chronological order of when I last played, to the best of my fading recollection.

Saints Row: The Third

1. Saints Row: The Third

The definition of fun. Be all you can be, and all you never knew you wanted to be. Or not. That is the beauty of it. So many choices, and all are entertaining.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Huge world, so many quests. Probably too many. Got to figure out what I want to plow through, and what I may leave out. Maybe multiple play-throughs to hit all the achievements...

Crysis

3. Crysis

Tight shooter--picked this up on Xbox On Demand, after playing Crysis 2. My latest PC still wouldn't be able to play this game. It's really straightforward and satisfying.

Iron Brigade

4. Iron Brigade

Moves like a mech should. Enough said.

RISK: Factions

5. RISK: Factions

Haven't played much/any of the campaign mode with the different characters--keep going back to the classic mode as a good time waster.

Gin Rummy

6. Gin Rummy

The theme music is so mellow, and enhances the game's ability to kill time. Also the completionist in me loves making books, and weighing that against the payoff of gin is most of the challenge.

Batman: Arkham City

7. Batman: Arkham City

Being Batman is pretty cool.

Forza Motorsport 4

8. Forza Motorsport 4

Prettier still, but disappointed that there weren't more new tracks this time. Feels more like a Season Update this time, which is disappointing. Still the best driving game I've played, but was left wanting a bit more.

Gears of War 3

9. Gears of War 3

Great campaign, and a strong story to boot. Favorite campaign of all three, and they worked hard to bring some color to the world.

Too Human

10. Too Human

All the loot, an interesting battle system, but far too repetitive. The SciFi/Nord fiction was weird but almost cool, and wished they had fulfilled the promise of a trilogy.
