Honorable mentions: The Walking Dead Season 4, Ace Combat 7, The Division 2, Observation, Forager, Heave Ho, Final Fantasy VIII Remaster (PC). Unfortunately, I couldn't come close to finishing these but liked what I saw: Outer Wilds, Draugen, Jedi Fallen Order, Valfaris

Edit (August 2022): I have since played, finished and absolutely loved Outer Wilds. It's the true #1, I'm not ashamed to edit this list now.
