Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

1. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4

Persona 4 surprised me. It came out in the end of 2008 and I brushed it off. Then I saw Giantbomb do there Endurance Run and around episode 5 or 6 I couldn't take it anymore. I had to have it, I went to Game Crazy (RIP) paid the 40 dollars and rushed home. Booted it up and experienced the most amazing RPG I have ever played. The murder mystery story had me hooked. The weird dungeon crawler, meets pokemon, meets dating sim game play was fantastic. Finally the game had the most realistic likable cast of characters I have ever seen in a game even if you had to go through social links to see them.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

There are very few words to describe how epic this game is for fans of the series. From sneaking around in the jungle to racing through the back of a European city while robotic bird people try and kill you the game is just crazy and intense from start to finish. The story also finally concludes after 20 years of insanity dating back to the NES. (Also before playing this at least finish 1,2,and 3. Or watch the retrospective on gametrailers your call.

Grand Theft Auto IV

3. Grand Theft Auto IV

So this being this high on the list is gonna blow some minds. But the story hit home and really no GTA game comes close to being this good in terms of story telling and creating believable likable characters. Also the expansion packs were just as good.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

4. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Mario Galaxy 2 is the perfect example of what all video games should aspire to be. It has so much variety and every bit of that variety is fun and well made. Some parts in Mario Galaxy 2 could be full games.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

5. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Yes I am one of the 11 million people currently addicted to this phenomenon. The raids and pvp are crazy fun and trying out different classes or just exploring the world and questing makes this world one I am proud to be part of.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

6. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Loved the colorful art style and world. The game play was Zelda at it's core, but in an amazing setting.

Star Fox 64

7. Star Fox 64

This game stole a very large chunk of my youth I will never get back beating the time spent on getting all the medals getting the real ending just it all got me hooked on this game that seemed like never ending fun

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

8. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

So 2009s best game amazing story fun offline and online gameplay and a fantastic story that always keeps you guessing shows why this game is a definite show case for the PS3 and game design

Final Fantasy X

9. Final Fantasy X

You know this game really surprised me. I didn't expect the game to open with a heavy metal and under water soccer rugby game, but dude that was the best way for it to open. This was only the start of an epic quest filled with cool characters fun enemies and a story that ranks among the best. Also the ending IS SO SAD.

Halo: Combat Evolved

10. Halo: Combat Evolved

Where do I begin. This game was the reason for me to buy an xbox. It had everything a great game needs a good story epic moments and it was fun. Not to mention the endless hours I spent playing co-op and at LAN parties this game was something else.
