Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition was the fighting game that finally got me to care and learn how to play fighting games with a proper fight stick and all. I absolutely suck, but it takes time and a lot of practice to not get kicked in the teeth constantly.
I don't think I've ever fully understood how to play Smash Bros until now. The massive quantity of unlockables and single player content is a big draw for me with this.
Having dipped my toes into Street Fighter V when this came out, the Anniversary Collection was a fun way to see how the series has changed. Learning Oro in 3rd Strike and Ryu in the Alpha series were my highlights.
I'm glad I waited until this was out of early access to try it out. I had seen a decent amount of Vinesauce play this and what I've seen now, especially story-wise, is a step up from then and has really helped keep my interest.
The game play of Dragon's Crown Pro is a pretty straight forward brawler but what elevates it for me is the extremely over-the-top art style, story telling technique, and music.
Breathedge has a great mix of jokes and Subnautica-like game play. Right now it's early access and only about 3 hours but I really enjoyed all my time with it so far. I'll definitely be watching for updates to this.
I played this for some time, but like every other phone game I've pretty much stopped. I really enjoyed my time with it and the first raid was really cool so hopefully they continue adding stuff like that.
I tried this out based on glowing recommendations and from a mechanical standpoint it does seem solid. The only issue is that the player base seems extremely limited and experienced. If someone were to want to play a lot of this with me I would gladly.
Really nice, and free, follow up/demo to Life is Strange. One day I'll get around to After the Storm and LiS season 2.
Honestly, DBFZ is on here because I haven't played any more games from this year. It came with my fight stick and I tried some out but as of now I'm finding I'm really not a tag style player.
