Hitman came out of nowhere for me and has really impressed me with stealth gameplay done exactly how i want it done. The densely packed locations and tools you are given make repeating levels never get old. Hitman captures an old feeling I have of playing a demo for the original Splinter Cell on Gamecube where I would harass a pair of guards with every item available to me. The game is a fun challenge that has figured out how much player punishment is acceptable in a stealth game.
It was a long time coming but I was finally able to trick three other people into hunting some monsters with me. Generations doesn't necessarily do anything extraordinarily new but it doesn't do anything wrong. This year's edition features the same Monster Hunter formula as all the others but has removed some of the more frustrating elements like underwater fights as well as added a weapon upgrade path that is far more enjoyable than in previous games.
