A tentative look at what's ahead for gaming this year. Here I pick the five games I feel are most likely to appear on most major Game of the Year lists at the end of the year, simply by virtue of their pedigree, their production, or my own biases.
Yes, I'm open to bets.

Best chance. Arkham Asylum was robbed in 2009.
Pristine, but small. Sure to rank high on all lists, and top smaller publications, but otherwise doubtful.
Absolutely raw ambition. Lacks the precision of Portal 2, but easily trumps it in scope and scale.
Needs to distance itself from the successes of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves; not likely to happen.
Up in the air, given the new studio and long development cycle. Competing with Arkham City for Stealth-Action.
