This is the best Halo Game. With all the delays I was concerned it was going to be another halo 4 (which was fine but not the series highpoint), they seemingly abandoned the cliffhanger ending of halo 5 which was confusing as they where 2/3 of the way through a saga which was a concern. But thankfully it all worked, the game is polished, the story not only made sense but gave characters a meaningful arc, the new AI was great, the open world setting was a great choice and once again, as it should be the Master chief feels like the baddest man in the valley. Clearly the best game this year.
Went 1.0 this year so is eligible. I would love to play a single player game in this engine/setting, they have done an amazing job and this is near perfect multiplayer, playing the game does however follow arcs of fun/misery, you either have the best possible time or you run and die for an hour.
Do I prefer third person RE games.. yeah... do I prefer the re2 and 3 remakes to 7/8.. yeah... is this still fantastic, Yes its definitely fantastic.
these games get incrementally better every year, as a result this is great. played less of this that 2020 but I may play more. it really is great.
the turbo version, I've always loved outrun/cruzin/hang-on style racing games, and this one captures the best of that genre, fun gameplay, just the right difficulty and perfect music.
This game is great, but it didnt recapture the lightning of the first judgement game. perhaps I'm just a bit worn-out with the yakuza gameplay and kamurocho setting having played the entire franchise in the past 4 years.
completed the campaign, thoroughly enjoyed would play a 5th game without hesitation
so much style and substance, great side scrolling shooter.
Horza games are heavily reliant on their setting, knew this wasnt going to be great from the moment they announced the setting, still had fun for 40ish hours but have no desire to complete the game like ive done with the rest of the series. hopefully the next entry in the series is set in japan or somewhere else interesting
had a Great time playing this in a single sitting.
