There is an optional area where a previous expedition were so desperate that they resorted to creating a bridge using their own bodies. Clive Barker would be proud.
I wish it would let me romance the old people and be a homewrecker.
Turn the bird off. The bird robs you of discovery. The bird is ten times worse than Mackenzie in Metroid Prime 4.
My cozy game of 2025
Once you hear Nate say a heartbreaking line of dialogue halfway through the game you realize it's more than just a ragebait Bennett Foddy game. However, I do think that finishing this game has taken several years off my DualSense analog triggers' lifespan.
Very fun game, very playable but could be so much more. It starts off strong but just flatlines into a sameness till the end.
This game either needs more books or needs to be shorter. Immersion is broken when you notice that you've sold Sailor Moon to the same person at least 5 times.
Having no nostalgia for the original, as a newcomer the leveling/scaling system is highly flawed. The freedom to craft uniquely skilled characters via the job system is hindered by the drip feed progression. So I am grinding and prolonging each battle by slowly torturing the enemy, sometimes resurrecting the dead to get more XP or steal items from them, or attacking my own teammates for sweet experience points. This is not the land of peace and equality Ramza dreams of. My squad is a highly skilled group of sadistic war criminals.
I couldn't add Sektori when I made this list, so here is the closest thing.
If I'm being completely honest this is my true GOTY of 2025. Back in 2007 during the Wii shortage I played Super Mario Galaxy at a Gamestop kiosk for like two hours.
