Mass Effect 2

1. Mass Effect 2

Simply The Best. Better than all the Rest.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

2. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

Missed out solely due to Raynor never saying "This is Jimmy." Ok, not solely but come on.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

3. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

I don't know what Jeff's talking about, the Crossbow's pretty damn nice to have.

Red Dead Redemption

4. Red Dead Redemption

It's either me, or you. The way I figure it, might as well be you.

Kirby's Epic Yarn

5. Kirby's Epic Yarn

There is NO resisting this game's charm.

Napoleon: Total War

6. Napoleon: Total War

Ok, it's still saddled with often-poor AI and the more focused campaign can chafe at times. But I still love me some huge TW battles.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

7. Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I'm not as sold on the story of the Bad Company games as some, but I enjoy the hell out of the multiplayer. COD's smaller maps are more exhilarating, but the big and crazy Battlefield world is easier to just get in and have fun with.

Heavy Rain

8. Heavy Rain

I'm a bit torn on this because I'm right on the edge of calling it more an interactive movie than a game, but they give the player just enough input in the events of the story. And what a story it is.

Bayonetta

9. Bayonetta

Crazy Fun, Crazy Stuff, Crazy Hair, Crazy Crazy. But it all works.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

10. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

The Headshot mechanic is too powerful, the Stealth may have been dialed back too much, and the story may have outlived its shelf life a bit. But this is still an immensely satisfying game to pick up and play.
