Gun

1. Gun

Tentativly approached this title on the original Xbox and was blown away. I just had to re-buy it on the 360 to experience it all over again and to get the 1000 points.

The Darkness

2. The Darkness

Tried the demo and thought the graphics looked good but the handling felt off, and decided against getting it. My brother eventually bought it and during a dry spell I borrowed it and I'm glad I did. A really, really good surprise.

Outpost Kaloki X

3. Outpost Kaloki X

Saw this on the marketplace and thought: "What a weird name, wonder what it's about?" Downloaded the demo and instantly knew I needed to buy it.

Call of Juarez

4. Call of Juarez

Saw this and wrote it off as a B-grade product, but after buying it on discount and really enjoying it dispite all the sneaking I now own Bound in Blood too.

Viking: Battle for Asgard

5. Viking: Battle for Asgard

A Hack and Slash game that I enjoyed way more than I thought I would. High level of polish, variety and gore came together and kept me engrossed though the entire game.

Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - Episode One

6. Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - Episode One

Never having visited the site, I decided to check out the demo. It instantly clicked and I've bought Episode Two now and eagerly awaiting three.

F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon

7. F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon

Getting my Xbox360 kind of late, and avoiding game news for a while beforehand I had never heard of FEAR when I bought it. Turns out I should have got some extra undies at the same time.

Forza Motorsport 2

8. Forza Motorsport 2

Another big surprise for me. I never liked racers, not even really arcade one. I had no intention of ever getting this or even looking at it, but then I won it in a competition online and decided I had to atleast check it out. Now everytime I'm in the store I wrestle with myself over buying forza 3 and a steering wheel.

GripShift

9. GripShift

Blending platforming and driving together didn't seem like it would work. After trying the demo I was impressed with the combination kart racer/platformer and had to buy it.

Just Cause

10. Just Cause

While it has nothing on GTA, I had no faith in this title what-so-ever only to pick it up from Big-W for $15 ages ago and play nothing else untill I finished it.
