Need to get back to it, I've barely scratched the surface. I'm amazed how well they modernized the PS1 classic I played back in middle school.
I played this game through the new year and into February. It truly had me spellbound; mostly by the spectacle, and the craftsmanship at work, but I also became attached to the bandit Arthur Morgan and the morsels of goodness sometimes found within.
I got into 'the Breach on the Switch again this year, and even ended up playing it more than I had on the PC/Mac. Fantastic game. Contenter for GOTG.
DMC5 caught me by surprise, I didn't see myself playing it. Partly because I felt uneasy about the developers playing into the hate spewed by some fans at Ninja Theory's DmC, but also because DMC4 was a bit of a disappointment and there have been so many other good action games since then. But it lived up to the hype. It's fantastic. Capcom really know their stuff.
Ahhhh, Sekiro. I could hardly believe how adeptly it captures the feeling you imagine a master swordsman could be having during an intense duel in a samurai movie. Sekiro is a masterpiece rivalled only by FROM's other highly esteemed output: Dark Souls and Bloodborne. This makes it one of the 3 best games of all time.
A curious game with a weird setup, which manages to delightfully catch you offguard with the solutions you bump into.
A very cool little RPG card battler. It's a shame my Switch joy-con started to drift when I was playing it, so I stopped being able to play it.
I got back into Destiny 2 this year, or more specifically, caught up to the present with all the content Forsaken brought to the table. It was great and restored my faith in Bungie, after feeling pretty down on D2 in its initial state.
