This game has the cumbersome controls but I still spent 85 hrs playing it. Didn't finish the epilogue and thought the Arthur ending was bad. That being said, the journey of the character of Arthur was enthralling. Exploring the wilderness was interesting and never got stale.
The swinging was good and so was the combat(at least for the first 10 hrs)
This game is hard. I am bad at this game. I haven't even come close to finishing it. I love it.
I played it on the story mode difficulty and greatly enjoyed the world and characters.
(REROLL 2018 release) This game has consistently put a smile on my face every time I've played it.
The opening of this game made this on my list. I haven't played a sim-ish driving game in years and this is a good one.

This game is almost great, like others have mentioned, this game could have used an Editor to cut a lot of the fluff.
I played my second playthrough this year thanks to Mass Alex. Game still holds up.
This game is so difficult but i love it. I've only managed a two island victory in 30+ hours in but I'm still having a blast with it. Who doesn't lunch giant mechs punching giant kaiju?!
