Movie games that are totally inexplicable.

Released over a decade after the film it's based on, Reservoir Dogs still has that rushed appearance most movie games share. I don't know much about game development, but development most have started at least a decade after the film's release. Why not spend more time on it? Then again, why even bother? Out of all the movies to adapt, they chose Reservoir Dogs? To put it in perspective for you, Kill Bill Vol.1 was in theaters 3 years prior to this games release, which might have actually worked and/or sold way better because it was recent.
Just like Reservoir Dogs, this project was clearly driven by pure intent for profit, because it's a complete mess. Also like Reservoir Dogs, it came out way later than the films (like 30 years or so?).
Even stranger, here's an arcade style sequel to Rocky. Perhaps this was an attempt to create a Rocky franchise of video games that resembles the Dragon Ball Z model (releasing almost the same game with the exact same story every year). I don't really get it. I wonder if it sold well...
A shitty version of the Budokai series. The cutscenes are *incredible* - it's the execution and visuals that make this game impossible to comprehend. I just don't get how or why this game was made the way it was. I was offered this game for free and I declined.
It's weird because it's actually really good.
So, the first Saw game was based on the first Saw movie, but this one is totally unrelated to the movies and yet is called Saw 2: Flesh and Blood, as it's the sequel to the first game...? Why even include the confusing 2 if you already have the subtitle there, all ready to go? As if Saw wasn't already convoluted enough.
It's a good game, but I found it to be a bit odd that the game was limited to a single film. Why not be a bit more expansive and include, say, Thunderball or You Only Live Twice? Both of those particular movies contained some truly stunning and explosive set pieces (like shark fights and a FIGHT ALONGSIDE AN ARMY OF NINJA IN A HOLLOW VOLCANO). I guess the name is more recognizable, but the far more beloved Goldfinger was right around the corner as well.
Die Hard: Vendetta takes place long after the films end (possibly discounting Die Hards of the Live Free variety) and features a grey-haired old man McClain. I guess it's a first person shooter? I like these alternate reality movie games in theory, but they're always just poorly executed cash-ins. From Russia with Love is the only game that ever came close to succeeding this way.
Another title that makes no sense at all. Die Hard Trilogy 2? 2. Is this like...a second unknown trilogy not portrayed in the films? How is it a trilogy then? Is it just a sequel to the regular Die Hard Trilogy, and if so, why not throw a helpful subtitle on there or something? Or, better yet, just make a different game with the "Die Hard" license? Why make it at all, actually? Why am I here?
