Devil May Cry 5

1. Devil May Cry 5

Capcom had a fantastic 2019. Devil May Cry is a return to form for a franchise that was feeling a little lost after Ninja Theory 'had a go'. DmC wasn't awful, but it wasn't Devil May Cry either. Devil May Cry 5 is a return to form with one of the biggest ear worm theme tunes of recent years. The replayability was off the charts and here's hoping another entry isn't far off.

Resident Evil 2

2. Resident Evil 2

Fantastic from start to finish. Having played the demo, I ended up getting this as a day one purchase. RE2 Remake is gorgeous and is how a remake should be. Lovingly crafted with perfect execution.

Death Stranding

3. Death Stranding

Many hated it. I was worried having read the reviews and early impressions but I have to say Death Stranding is a great game. There's just something about it that just always leaves you wanting more. I might not do EVERY delivery, but the world and its story - no matter how confusing - is always peaking my interest.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Confusing many, I always play COD for the campaign and this one is close to perfect in terms of story and set pieces. The game just flows, the only break in immersion, the regular deaths, much like with uncharted breaking story and action momentum.

Katana Zero

5. Katana Zero

Addictive. Ace soundtrack. Awesome story.
