My Favorite Games of All Time. (FGOAT's)

Here are 10 of my Favorite Games of All Time. You won't find any Final Fantasy, Mario or Zelda on this list.

The ordering of the first three will probably never change, but the contents after that can fluctuate a bit depending on the day. It's usually always the same games, just different ordering.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

1. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

#1 - I'll admit that perhaps 40-50% of the reason this game is first is due to nostalgia, but damn... At the time this was an amazing, groundbreaking game; it was like Skyrim back in 2002. I still love the hell out of it, and the opening music gives me chills. Also, I don't know if this is something to be proud of or not - but, I can recite the entire opening sequence up until you create your character. I have made so many characters and seen it so many times it is engrained in my memory.

Shadow of the Colossus

2. Shadow of the Colossus

#2 - I remember renting this game after it had been out a little while and quickly giving up on it because I hated the controls. A few years later I decided to give it another try since I had heard/read so many people saying how great it was. I am so very glad I gave it another chance. This game is a true masterpiece, and a full-on next gen sequel for PS4, XONE or PC is the subject of many of my fantasies.

Ōkami

3. Ōkami

This is one of the oust beautiful games ever made, both visually and aurally. The gameplay is excellent, and while the progression is a bit messed up (you fight the same boss three times) it's still one of the greatest games ever made.

Batman: Arkham City

4. Batman: Arkham City

Hands down the best Batman game ever made, and probably the best superhero game ever made as well. It's also the best game in the Arkham series. All future superhero games, be they Batman or not will be judged by the precedent this game set.

Shenmue

5. Shenmue

For some reason a lot of people don't like Shenmue. In return, I don't like those people. I haven't played Shenmue in a very long time, due to not having a Dreamcast anymore, but I used to play it every year or so. I don't know what it is that makes me love it so much...Perhaps it's a blend of things that I really like: Japan, Martial Arts, [semi]Open-World games, QTEs...Oh wait, I hate QTEs! Hmm...Well, I like all that other stuff!

Bayonetta

6. Bayonetta

Surprise, surprise, a game made by most of the team from Okami (Clover) also happens to be one of my all time favorites. I love Bayonetta. I also love Platinum Games. I also think Bayonetta is hot. (It's the glasses and black hair!!) This game also represent the absolute pinnacle of Platinum's combat engine, IMO. I also love the Okmai references in this game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

7. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

This is the pinnacle of what an Elder Scrolls game can be. The world is massive, yet alive. The scenery is truly something to behold and is perfectly matched with a beautiful soundtrack.

Fallout 3

8. Fallout 3

The definitive Fallout experience, IMO. This was my first Fallout game; I've never played the older, isometric ones so the shift in play style didn't affect me. I can't tell you how many hours I spent with this game.

Mass Effect 2

9. Mass Effect 2

The best in the series, by far. It's also the greatest space opera every conceived in video game form.

God of War II

10. God of War II

Once again, this is the best game in the franchise and one of the best combat focused action adventure games ever made. Only preceded by Bayonetta, IMO. (Batman isn't combat focused, even though it's damn good)
