I haven't completley finished it but I already know this is my favorite of the year. I played the demo like ten times before finally getting this. The atmosphere, great lead characters, and enjoyable game play really struck a chord with me. I can't wait to finish it.
Despite it's shortness and simplicity I played the HELL out of this game! I think I like it a bit more because of my love for the Scott Pilgrim fiction, but I still played this like crazy. It is much more fun with a companion, but still a ton of fun nonetheless. A superb soundtrack to boot!
GAHHHHH FALLOUT!!! How you have owned me again. I have 80 hours into it already and I feel NOWHERE near finishing it! There is so much to do. I think I finished Fallout 3 with about 70, and even then I just kept playing it. With this I really think it will end up being one I'll play randomly throughout 2011 in week long spurts or so. Sure it has problems, but I still keep trekking on despite constant freezing!
Got this for Christmas and have only played an hour or two, but if it is even better than 2 I am confident I will love this one. Everything from the look, the feel of the controls, and the characters were what made me play the 2nd for hours on end. This I am sure will be the same.
Equally the most frustrating and awesome game of the year. Superb throwback style that has a cool look. It isn't a long game, but I just got it from Steam the other day for like $3 and still havent finished it.
A super engaging interactive story. I loved Indigo Prophecy and I knew I'd aleast like this one. I do and it is one of my tops. I definately agree with the GB crew about its inconsistencies in VO and story telling. But it was still a great atmospheric adventure.
I will admit I haven't played much other than the games I have on this list. When I looked back I literally had only played 7. I got VVVVVV late so I just added that....so this is more of a lack of games played entry but I had fun playing this poker game while it lasted. There isn't much to do after you get everything but just hearing the characters interact is fun enough. I'll go to this whenever I'm in the mood for poker and don't want to go to some crappy boring online one.
My second of those I didn't play. I bought the Special Edition for $30 on Amazon because it was super cheap one day, and I figured special editions may be rare to find later and it seemed to have some cool extras. SO I will hold on to this the day i get a 360 which may be soon seeing Amazon got them back in stock! I love the Max Payne games and I'm sure Remedy can do no wrong!
