Amazing game, the best visuals on the PS3 so far that I played. There is something about this franchise that really just feels right, everything it deals with has a certain charm that rarely is seen in video games today. Great story, amazing characters,locations and moments worthy of big Hollywood blockbusters, and clocking in at 8 hours that's not bad at all. * * * * *
Probably my favourite fighting game of the generation, and one of the few fighting games I am somewhat adept at. MK is a return to series roots after quite a disappointing run in the 3D realm, this is by far the best MK ever. It has great combat, solid presentation, great graphics, bloody fatalities and a pretty solid single player story to boot. Solid * * * *
(unfinished) I played this game in co-op with my roomate and it led to one of the most enjoyable and fun experiences on the platform. The game is enjoyable thank's to it's simplistic gameplay and charming artstyle. A great throwback to older platformers and a nice rebirth of an old forgotten icon. * * * * *
Yes the game is short(took me about 6 hr to complete the SP), yes the game seems to take many cues from Half Life 2, but seriously I had an amazing time while it lasted. Going back to the weapon wheel and health pickups was one of the most refreshing feelings in this game, add to that some great level design and enemy encounters, as well as a good atmosphere and sense of desperation, and you get what this game has to offer. A short yet compelling experience that any FPS fan should enjoy. * * * * *
One of the most fun open world games I have played, I absolutely loved this game. It starts a bit slow but picks up soon enough and then just gets better and better. The powers are a ton of fun and just navigating the city is a joy, the ice jumping enemies are quite cool to fight as well. One of the best ps3 games I played. * * * * *
(unfinished) Just like Bioshock, I know most of what this game has to offer but sadly I did not actually play through it all myself. I will try to get back to it some day. As far as I got to play, it seemed like a very solid game in all respects. Solid * * * *
(unfinished) This game gets a lot of shit from people, mostly because it tried to be different, but didn't go the extra mile. If you stop thinking about all it's flaws and don't spoil yourself with internet chatter, playing this game is a very nice an welcomed change of pace from all the other titles on the market. Sure it's not quite there, but for what it offers, it's great. And I would love to see other games attempt similar themes and ideas with more success in the future. ****
