Yet another mage variant, Battle Mages prefer to hone their magic skills on the battlefield.
A common character class / archetype in role-playing games and fantasy. They are often less chivalric than your average Knight-errant, generally being depicted as either archetypal villains (such as a Dark Lord), or troubled and ruthless anti-heroes.
Character Creation refers to characters created by players themselves, rather than developers.

Cryokinesis is the manipulation of ice. Also known as Ice Manipulation or Cryomancy. Users can generate, shape, and control ice to their will.

Dwarves are a short, stout race that appear in any number of fantasy games and stories. They are almost always depicted as short with bushy beards similar to vikings. They can also be identified by their love for ale and gold. Other common trends for Fantasy Dwarves include being proud warriors, favoring axes as their weapon of choice, and being gruff sticklers for tradition and honor.
Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
This concept is for games where at least one of the main characters is female.
The last boss you face in a game, usually representing the final climax of the game.
The ability to create, shape, and control fire at will. This is a common and well known power in fiction, its appearance dating back to ancient literature.
When the main character starts out as a weak, hopeless, tiny lad and the player makes him the most powerful person in the game.
Picking the gender of your character can help immerse you in the game world. Sometimes this leads to different abilities in-game, sometimes it means nothing at all.
The Grey Wardens are noble warriors who are called upon to slay the archdemon and stop the darkspawn when there is a blight. Wardens come from all races and countries, but did not have a base in Ferelden when the fifth (and most current) blight began.
When a character or group of characters does something extremely brave on behalf of another character or group of characters, knowing that they will get killed or seriously injured in the process.

The single most important thing in the world, love is a powerful story telling element that can connect characters or drive a story. There are many video game characters who have fallen in love with someone or something.
Mabari are magically bred dogs, often used in Ferelden as war hounds. A Mabari War Hound can join the Warden's Party in Dragon Age: Origins, and can be summoned as a temporary party member in Dragon Age 2.
This concept is for games in which at least one of the main characters is male.
Moral dilemmas presented to the player that often have a significant effect on the story or other characters.
Multiple endings is a term used to describe different outcomes or conclusions to a game based on the previous actions of the player.
Sometimes we will go a whole game without knowing the true name of a protagonist. Oftentimes, this is remedied by unique references being made towards the protagonist, such as "The Wanderer," "The Kid," or "The Man With no Name."
You were pretty cool, once. Rich. Powerful. Royalty, even. But that's done with now, because it says "Chapter One" instead of "Prologue" in the mission order.
Games that allow characters to be switched with the press of a button. This concept's definition does not include player switching in team sports games.
