The Ninth Colossus is the ninth enemy fought by Wander in Shadow of the Colossus. Like the game's other Colossi, it is a large golem that appears to be at least partially constructed from stone. This Colossus resembles a tortoise and can be found in a cave adjacent to a field of active geysers that lies to the west of the Shrine of Worship.
Agro's speed is critical in this battle, both for avoiding the creature's energy projectiles as well as luring the Ninth Colossus across one of the regularly-erupting geysers scattered around the area. The force of the geyser will push upward against the Colossus, raising two of its four legs off of the ground in the process. This allows Wander to strike the soles of its feet with arrows, which causes the Colossus to topple onto its side and creates a foothold across its leg. Once the player has scaled its shell-like back, they may begin the usual process of locating and attacking the Colossus' weak points.
