A quest of a father in search of his daughter. An 8-bit-like game in the vein of Castlevania, having a Greek mythology theme. Hard as nails, like the old classic games.
Overview
The Curse of Issyos is a PC game released by Spanish developer Locomalito and released for free on their website. As with the developer's previous projects, such as Maldita Castilla, the game is inspired by and homages classic 8-bit action games like those released for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System. The Curse of Issyos is derived from Ancient Greek legends and the side-scrolling action gameplay of Konami's Castlevania (Franchise) and Nintendo's Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The fisherman Defkalion is alerted by the Goddess Athena while at sea that his homeland of Issyos is under attack by the forces of Olympus. He quickly rows back home with sword in hand to look for his daughter.
