Tenchi o Kurau
A popular Japanese manga that depicts events from the Three Kingdoms period of Ancient China and loosely based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. A number of Japanese video games depicting that period is based on the manga's interpretation.

Tenchi o Kurau, or "The Devouring of Earth and Heaven", is a manga created by Hiroshi Motomiya that depicts events from the Three Kingdoms era of Ancient China. Capcom would later create a number of games that base their visuals on those of the manga as well as borrow the manga's name, though in a few cases those names would be changed for the US and European market. Notable Tenchi o Kurau adaptations include:
- Dynasty Wars (Game): a 1989 Capcom Arcade brawler.
- Destiny of an Emperor (Game): a 1989 NES Capcom RPG, ported to the Game Boy in 1994.
- Tenchi o Kurau II: a 1991 NES Capcom RPG and the sequel to Destiny of an Emperor.
- Warriors of Fate (Game): a 1992 Capcom Arcade brawler and the sequel to Dynasty Wars.
