One of the Northern Kingdoms that played a key role in the war with the Empire of Nilfgaard. It is essentially a feudal state in which there are a number of major lords ruled over by the king. There is no current king of Temeria in the world of the Witcher as the previous king, Foltest, was killed with no legitimate heirs. There are multiple claimants to the throne, with the most legitimate being his illegitimate daughter, Anais. She is currently under the protection of Vernon Roche, commander of the Blue Stripes, Temeria's special forces. The other possibilities include the dividing of the kingdom by the surrounding rulers or its annexation by another kingdom. Its policies to non-humans are reletivley neutral, but the population is far to racist to allow for peaceful cohabitation and there are Scoia'tael bands in the wilderness.
