I hate most of the hats they have added to TF2. It's a considerable part of why I gradually stopped playing the game, as it feels like I'm just playing some stupid Korean MMO where everyone wears their own brand of hideous. But it is especially sad to hear they are removing the first wave of hats, the only ones that actually fit the visual style of the game and the characters they go with.

Those hats are extremely rare already. They're only stopping more of them being made. What's the big deal?

Eh. I have all of those so this doesn't affect me much. Still odd, though.

The Towering Pillar of Hats remains unscathed, and that's all that matters.

Also, they aren't removing them, just stopping generation of them.

This is brilliant, now people are going to buy those hats like mad on the mann co store thinking they'll be worth tonnes in the future..

The price of those hats will skyrocket. Making more limited items will only boost the trading community within the game, which is obviously their intention. I still get absolutely ludicrous offers for my Max hat that was limited only to people who pre-ordered Sam & Max season 1.

I can see this working crazy well for them.

That is a true attempt from a guy in getting the Max hat from my friend.

I got duped out of a Bill's Hat recently.

I don't even play TF2. I didn't know it was worth anything.

I just thought I was being a nice guy, but NOPE. Gave a dude like, 8 Dollars worth of hat, apparently.
