Studio Pixel is an independent Japanese game development studio consisting only of Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya. Studio Pixel is responsible for developing freeware games such as Cave Storyand Ikachan. As a result, the developer has gained something of a cult following. Amaya works not only on games, but other applications as well, like PX Tone, a music composing program allowing users to create chiptune-styled compositions.
