    The Stormcloaks are a large faction of rebels in Skyrim led by Ulfric Stormcloak. They wish to push the Imperial Legion out of Skyrim to end the Empire's rule over the province.

    Overview

    The player in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has the option of joining the Stormcloaks to defeat the Imperial Legion, who wish to take control of Skyrim. They believe that Skyrim is a part of the Empire and that it should follow the Empire's customs and laws.

    The Stormcloaks were formed by Ulfric Stormcloak. They are a faction consisting mostly of Nords who want the Empire out of their homeland. Additionally, they are upset by the Empire's banning of the worship of Talos, another reason for their fighting.
