Video Blog: Playing Through StarCraft II
" You alt-tab? You don't have a 2nd LCD connected? Wow. I would think a person who makes their living playing PC would have two or even three LCDs connected. "this
bwahahahahahaha! I press play and BAM! Brad's face filling the screen! I just spit out my food in laughter
Wow the campaign stuff sounds really good. I hope a strong singleplayer focus will help shape the future of the RTS genre since it's where I've personally had the most fun out of playing these kinds of games.
Yes! More video blogs like this please. You guys really sold me on StarCraft 2 with the launch event, and I've been loving it so far. Thanks!
This was a good video. Question: Do you have to play the first game's story mode to know whats going on in this one? I played SC as a kid so i dont remember much. lost my CD so i cant play it again.
And also, lol Brad. If you wanna know why the con is in the suit all the time, you can simply watch the very first first cinematic! Something that Blizzard is doing extra fucking brilliant. If people aren't sure about buying the game and afraid of getting constantly stabbed in the multiplayer - simply pick this game up just to play the singe player campaign on casual-normal and watch all the cool movies. I would honestly pay blizzard $5-10 just for the cinematics alone.
What kind of computer do you need to play Starcraft 2? I have a dual core 1.5 ghz processor, 2 gigs of ram, and a nividia 8500m GS video card in my laptop. Will I need to upgrade before I consider buying?
If I had a PC that could run games with release dates past 2001, I would get this game. I have never been good at RTS and that has turned me off of the genre, but this game looks designed to cater towards that audience in the same way that Forza 3 was for people who don't play sim racers. All of that campaign stuff sounds super neat, and the story seems interesting to me and I barely even know the story of SC1. Jim Raynor seems like a great character.
My question has to be.. as someone who is very casual in the RTS realm, is this a game that I have to know the in's and out's for? Or can I just jump in and have fun while being a total noob? I loved company of heroes but I felt like that was pretty shallow in terms of depth. I should also note that I've never touched the first SC. Anyway, I LOVE the video brad (is there anything GB does that's not fantastic?)
