Overview
Soldier Blade is the third of three Star Soldier (Franchise) games created for the TurboGrafx-16 console, following Super Star Soldier (Game) and Final Soldier (Game), and the fourth Star Soldier game overall. Most of its mechanics are carried over from Final Soldier, but with a handful of tweaks and additional features including a new robotic companion/option and an expanded weapon power-up system. The story of the game involves an experimental ship, the Star Soldier v0.92, taking on the powerful Zeograd alien army single-handedly. Soldier Blade was originally a TurboGrafx-16 exclusive. It was later added to the Wii's Virtual Console (Concept) in 2007. Since then, it has been rereleased on the PlayStation Network, iOS and the Wii U's Virtual Console.
