    Overview

Socket (known as Time Dominator 1st in Japan) is a platformer developed and published by Vic Tokai Corporation for the Sega Genesis platform. A villain known only as the Time Dominator has caused havoc to the timeline by exploiting it for their own ends, and the newly-formed Time Warp Patrol hires the android duck Socket (Minute in the Japanese version) to fix the damage and defeat the Time Dominator.

Socket, much like Sonic the Hedgehog, emphasizes speed above all else. Socket is constantly losing charge as he runs around, necessitating that the player find electricity to keep him powered up and moving quickly through levels to reach their exit as soon as possible. The similarities are such that many contemporary reviews of the era chastized the game for being a shameless Sonic clone.
