    Overview

Small Radios Big Televisions is an exploration game developed by Fire Face for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The player explores a series of facilities, solving simple puzzles and discovering the nature of the disaster which befell it.

    Cassette Tapes

The majority of progression through the game involves green cubes which can be used to open any door locked with a cube shaped repository. These are found by exploring environments stored on cassette tapes throughout the world. The majority of these environments are abstract nature scenes with serene ambient music. Some are only viewed from a single point, others can be rotated around and yet more move the player along an infinitely looping path.

Tapes contain multiple environments, revealed by applying a magnetic field to distort the information stored on them. As tapes are altered, their worlds and music become increasingly strange and broken. While not all versions of a tape contain cubes, finding all of the cubes will usually mean exploring the tapes completely.
