PAX Prime 2015 was the third Penny Arcade Expo to span four days, rather than the normal three. It took place from August 28-31, 2014 and was held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.
The PAX Prime 2015 Storytime Session (keynote) speaker was Kim Swift (Person).
Registration & Attendance
PAX Prime 2015 badges went on sale on May 7, 2015 at 12:00 PM PDT and were entirely sold out in a little over an hour making it the fastest sell out in PAX's eleven year history. It was also the first year that organizers did not offer an all-weekend pass. Attendees were forced to buy four separate days' badges if they intended on going all four days.
- Friday ($40 US) - Sold out in ~35 minutes.
- Saturday ($40 US) - Sold out in ~30 minutes.
- Sunday ($40 US) - Sold out in ~30 minutes.
- Monday ($40 US) - Sold out in ~60 minutes.
The PAX 10
A panel of 50 industry experts rated dozens of submissions to narrow it down to just ten. To be eligible for entry, games cannot have outside funding, cannot be mods of existing games, and must be in at least beta form. Previous games featured in The PAX 10 include Ridiculous Fishing, Rogue Legacy (Game), Bastion, Audiosurf, Johann Sebastian Joust, Machinarium, Fez, and The Maw.

The Omegathon
The Omegathon is an annual tournament held at PAX that pits 20 randomly selected attendees in a three day marathon of games that span the spectrum of the gaming universe. After each round, some participants are eliminated. Each year, the final game is held secret until moments before the final two Omeganauts enter battle.
