This demon was originally created by Robert E. Howard of Conan fame, but is more well known as a Marvel Comic and Capcom fighting game character. Chaos Dimension!

Shuma- Gorath was first mentioned in a Kull of Atlantis story published in 1967.
Shuma-Gorath made further appearances as a Dr. Strange villain in Marvel Comics. He was introduced as an elder god from the chaos dimension. Shuma-Gorath ruled earth until imprisoned by Sise-Neg.
When Shuma-Gorath attempts to return to Earth using The Ancient One as a conduit, Dr. Strange is forced to kill his master to prevent Shuma-Gorath's second coming.
Shuma-Gorath made his first appearance in Marvel Super Heroes (Game) and has since appeared in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. He is one of two DLC characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
