@fontelroy: It just seems like he doesn't care, there's no passion or love there. He's just going through the motions checking time to see when he gets to go home.

I get that this behaviour is totally fine, but when you're on camera and are suppose to (I mean, I think?) entertain people and provide a fun experience this is a total downer. I don't really watch UPF anymore, I don't consider that a good thing.

One thing I'd like to say as well is if I'm paying for something I should be able to criticize it as well without being called a whiner and part of a "shitty community."

There seem to be more people whining about people criticizing GB content than there are people criticizing GB content.

I'm going to say that I don't think there were really 170 something people on that map when Brad was playing. You could make up any crazy big number and you'd never know because you never see anyone until the end anyways.

@vodsel: Yes, it's rather blatant. The funny thing is that Kamiko's pixel art is so humdrum in comparison, as if it was assembled from a generic Hyper Light Drifter asset pack.

Well hey-now, I wouldn't go that far with any assumptions concerning dedication to the site or whatnot. I just think there's a point where the level of "unprofessional-ness" goes beyond the point of casual fun-loving goofiness to something that becomes a little disappointing or frustrating to watch. I realize that the obvious solution would be for me, the viewer, to simply close my browser tab, but there is plenty of aspects of Giant Bomb I still quite enjoy. The point is, it seems like the complaints people have been bringing up could be remedied. I think the problem is that these issues or criticisms tend to be expressed in such a polarizing way that any nugget of truth or reason gets completely disregarded.

This is the internet after all.

man now i feel bad for messin with brad over the mass effect review, sry brad. also this battle royale coverage makes me want to try one of them...H1z1's gun play always looked so flat to me so i guess battlegrounds it is.

If you haven't gotten your eyes checked recently, there's a newer little handheld machine that most offices use that's really not that bad. It uses a lot of small quick puffs that you can't even feel as opposed to one big puff of air.

@pilgore: Brad has always been this way, but I can confidently say that your read being "He's just here to punch in and punch out" is completely wrong.

I'll never understand the hate on Brad and the demand for him to be fired. He does a great job on the site and whatever imperfections some of you obsess about are never more than minor things that doesn't really matter in the long run anyway.

I think it's just the vibes. He seems sick a lot and very down in general. I don't think it's necessarily something he can control but it is infectious! I think anyone can relate, if you go to work and everyone around you is happy and having fun your mood will generally improve. And then, the opposite can happen as well.

We all have our favourites, and perhaps have people we like a bit less.. and some episodes of UPF are more entertaining than others to different people for different reasons. It's what happens with a weekly show.

Personally, I thought this was the best UPF in weeks - really liked the laidback atmosphere of just 3 people.

(And Brad is a total dreamboat!)

@vodsel: Disagree, I said "seems" btw, but it doesn't matter if it's true or not as it rubs off on-camera either way. Brad just needs extra outside stimulation to "wake him up," like in the Battleground stream with Vinny and Jeff. During these UPF's he's just......not there.

Man, poor GB West needs some reinforcements. Can't wait to see the new hires!

This point is abundantly clear, hence why everyone feels free to express their opinions. You don't need to qualify anything with "Well, this is just my opinion..."

I think this thing where you tell people what they should or shouldn't do when writing their comments is a bit unfriendly.

@billyok: It is a bit unfriendly, or maybe you just mean unpleasant. I don't see a comment like that and assume the person behind it is someone who is invalid or reprehensible for posting what I think is a dumb and ineffective truism. Who needs comment sections to be padded with vollying back-and-forth signals of mutual understanding, that we are stating our views and that we don't hate each other; just believe there are people out there who don't hate you or the values you stand for when they disagree or don't have an accompanying signature stating that they:

Love you and this is just my opinion.

Or you could just ignore my comment, and bless us all with your own sparkling gems of insight.

I mean, who needs comment sections padded with some random edgelord talking about people being free to express themselves, while policing others what they can or cannot say.

Saying "you don't need to" doesn't mean "you can't". Criticizing =/= Policing. Again, you haven't really said anything with your post, which was what my initial point was about.

As someone who has been wearing glasses since 1st grade, I could never do contacts or get laser eye surgery. I can't do eye stuff. Just can't. Get away from my eyes!

Don't see how Brad can say H1Z1 looks worse than PUBG. Sure, the building interiors weren't the greatest. But I'd say that the overall quality and lighting of the outside looked slightly better than what I've seen of PUBG. Either way, neither game is winning any categories in the graphics department. Also, man, H1Z1 has changed a shitton since I last played. The UI was almost 100% different.

Hey @rorie, were Jeff and Brad goofing around when they said you had a bit part in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 or are you in it?
