That puffy air machine messes me up. I have always been afraid of stuff touching my eyeballs, using eye drops, and the idea of contact lenses and laser eye surgery.

Glasses are totally fine. Never touch your eyes again.

You know, since it's bound to come up...

I've been a user of the Detail View on Steam for the longest time... and at first thought @brad was a madman when he mentioned List View as being the ideal view...

But, after using it for a bit, I like how it acts like a regular folder, allowing you to sort things by file size, developer, purchase date, etc.

I just wish there was a way to add a few more columns to this view that you could use to sort your games by... with data that already exists, such as "hours played", "percent of achievements achieved", perhaps even "number of friends who own this game"

This is all information you can already get in Detail View, and it's all information that I deem very useful... but it'd be even better if I could have a descending/ascending list using this data, and it'd make List View the ideal view for me.

Perhaps they can add it in a future Steam update. For now, I'll continue using Detail View, but I definitely don't think Brad is crazy anymore for using List View, and now that I've been properly introduced to it, I actually do prefer it in some cases.

It's crazy to me that Ghost Recon: Wildlands didn't have a mode like this in it. Seemed like 90% there already, just change some rules and weapon spawns.

That is exactly what he did because he thought glasses were "cool" although unlike most other horrible things Dan has done, this was when he was literally still a child so it can be actually excused as a dumb thing a kid might do.

EDIT: What Jeff might actually be freaked out about concerning laser eye surgery is the part where they suck in your eyeball and then using an ominous looking razor guillotine proceed to slice open a flap of "jelly" covering your cornea and peel it back in order to shoot the lasers inside. The laser shooting is the LEAST of your worries really.

Jeff being squeemish about eye stuff makes me feel a little less silly about being squeemish about eye stuff. I can't do drops either, and try as I might, I couldn't get in a pair of practice contacts when I foolishly thought "Hey, I'm going to toughen up and do this!"

. . .I just couldn't do it. Glasses forever for me. :(

I do agree, though, that H1Z1 is so much less in every way than BGs, and looks like ass.

So... the UPFs of the past two weeks were pretty cool. This one was too.

slice dice and rice is a really dumb name and people in the chat seemed to think it was offensive to asian cultures ... maybe the devs are asian, but still not a great name and the gameplay seems pretty piss poor

also mario kart is just as boring as I remember it back on the SNES. I guess I just don't get the love for this game.

that kamiko game also seemed really lackluster ... I guess we got to wait for prey or something else to come out because there are some games but they aren't great games in between the better games people are currently playing.

I can see where you guys are coming from but I wonder how much of it is the format and how much of it just lack of people. This weeks episode had 3 people and 1 of them had to pay attention to the production of it.

@missashley: Been in the same boat, I could only get my contacts in after literal hours of trying the first few weeks, to the point of my mom crying & begging me to give up. My eyes just did not stay open no matter how hard I held onto my eyelids. They just closed every.fucking.time. It seemed nigh impossible . But I didnt give up (to a slightly insane degree) because I was a total dan rykert at age 13-14. And lo and behold after a couple months I could get em in within a couple of tries

On one hand Im glad I didn't give up, I can do it almost effortlessly now, 10 years later. Not sure it was worth the hours and hours of practice/trying though lol as I now wear my glasses mostly haha Only times I use contacts anymore is for playing in VR or in case of an 'emergency' like my glasses breaking.

Contacts kinda suck anyway though dude, their more expensive than just wearing glasses in the long run. (Presuming said glasses lasts a fair amount of years.) And im pretty sure that even though contacts are super safe its still better for your eyes to not have a piece of silicone(or whatever the mix of synthetic material they use) in em. Fuck vanity.

Even though I really REALLY enjoyed the TLC playthrough, let's plays are not why I'm here on GB. I don't mind though, the duders dont exist to please me and the reality is they can do whatever the fuck they want as, here on the internet, theres an audience (that isnt me) for pretty much everything. I'll agree SF has had some rough content lately imo as well though, the lack of staff clearly doesn't do the quality of the content much good.

This and last weeks UPF were absolutely fine to great though.

TNT also doesn't seem as good as people are making it out to be?.... Tried watching a couple random ones a while back and it left zero impressions on me. Anyone any recommendations? I might've only seen the worst ones...

UPF has been tough to watch recently. I agree with the above commenters, but don't want to be harsh because I know it's hard to put on an extended show every week with a skeleton crew.

Chances are it's better live, but for the last month or more I've come home, scrolled through the 2-hour video and moved on to something else. I lost it last week when I saw the engineers and Rorie were on. Not that there's anything wrong with those folks but it's simply not their job to be out here entertaining, and I'd think GB could get just one guest to hold it down. Even reaching out to some SF gamespeople they had never had on would be worth a try.

Beast Coast is doing great, but everyone at the SF office just looks and sounds like they've been through the wringer and I hope they get somebody new in soon. In addition to the short staff, barely anyone has been playing NieR or Persona 5... For the first time in four years, I've been questioning whether the site is for me any longer and if I should extend my premium.

Kamiko looks incredibly similar to Titan Souls, almost strikingly so.

TNT was my favorite show they did ...period.(other then ERs of course)

UPF has always been hit or miss for me ...mostly miss so i can agree with the above sentiments

The alt look around thing is from ArmA, I guess because H1Z1 is based on DayZ and DayZ is mostly ArmA. Of course an ArmA modder would use the same controls from ArmA.

Also I have never been disappointed by any content GB has ever put out. Not saying people are wrong to have some kind of standards, but I am glad I can just enjoy and feel OK about anything. Maybe the depression helps.

(ftr i find much of gbeast stuff fairly obnoxious personally and not because of dan, and typically look forward to UPF and anything with gbwest crew in it)

don't worry for those still clinging on desperately, though. once we get the new hires we can start being angry at them and things will be fresh and new again.

anyway thanks for the show and the hard work guys, i generally enjoy the hell out of these and it's a wonderful way to unwind on a friday night.

I know brad's a big boy and can defend himself, but for fucks sake i want people to can it on the excessive brad hate already. guess we need a pariah now that dan's apparently OK for everyone somehow.

@jbuchan76: Yikes. I agree very much that UPF is often a pretty boring watch, especially now when they are so few on the couch (i remember the high energy episodes of UPF in 2013/14) but there is no need to get so personal and nasty about Brad.

Man this used to be a good community. When did it go to shit? Enough with the Brad hate already.

I will never understand how people can dislike the Marvel movies... I understand that they may not scratch all your "movie itches" but I can't understand how people dislike them.

with the exception of guardians of the galaxy i find them all generally good and not very memorable in any specific way. my next favorite is age of ultron or maybe the first iron man movie? idk. there's too damn many of them too; it just gets dull after awhile and i want something truly new.

@ripelivejam: And yeah I get that. I just don't get people that 'dislike' the marvel movies. The DC movies have structural problems but for the most part the Marvel films usually fall in the scope of average to good. At least to me.

If Jeff gets glasses he has to have like 20 different frames and wear a random one every day.
