Overview
Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate is the fifth mainline entry in the Shiren the Wanderer (Franchise) series set between the events of Shiren the Wanderer DS2 and Shiren the Wanderer 3. The game received a Japan-only Nintendo DS (Platform) release in 2010 and a re-released on the Playstation Vita in 2015. The Vita version was localized and released by Aksys Games (Company) in North America on July 26, 2016. Like other games in the series, The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate is a roguelike role-playing game that features randomized dungeons and a turn-based combat system. If a player dies, they lose their items and all experience. The game has a day/night cycle, which affects the visibility radius around the player as the sun sets. Shiren is accompanied by Koppa, a talking weasel, and are guided by Tao, a girl in a panda suit.
