    Overview

    Sarah Bryant is a fighter and playable character in the Virtua Fighter series. She originally appeared in the first Virtua Fighter and has appeared in every entry since. She is the sister of fellow Virtua Fighter character Jacky Bryant. Like her brother, she is a practitioner of Jeet Kune Do in the first three Virtua Fighter games, but her fighting style was altered into a general mix of several martial arts starting with Virtua Fighter 4.

    History

    After Jacky's apparent death in a racing accident, Sarah starts her own investigation when she's kidnapped by Judgement 6, or J6, and is put under mind control. J6 orders the brainwashed Sarah to hunt down and murder her brother. During the first two World Martial Arts Tournaments in Virtua Fighter and Virtua Fighter 2, she attempts to carry out her mission and fails both times. In Virtua Fighter 3, she is reunited with Jacky and freed from J6's mind control, but suffers amnesia as a result.

    She enters the third tournament in the hopes that it will help her regain her memory. In Virtua Fighter 4 she has regained her memories, but is horrified and confused by what she had done, unable to separate what J6 had programmed her to think from her true feelings. She enters the fourth tournament in order to fight Jacky once more, hoping to clear her mind. In Virtua Fighter 5, Sarah enters the tournament in order to help bring down J6, not realizing that J6 plans to capture her and turn her into the next Dural.

    Dead or Alive 5

    Sarah appears in Dead or Alive 5 as a guest character alongside Virtua Fighter mascot Akira Yuki and Pai Chan.
