Sanae is tomboyish and is condescending towards Yusuke. She likes to pin the blame on him and doesn't hesitate to give him a taste of her devastatingly powerful punches. Sanae is closest to her sister Arisa, though they are polar opposites in terms of personality.
Sanae works as a waitress at a cafe called Cafe Dreadnought. She attends a different school than Yusuke, but she takes the same bus to school as he does. Sanae falls victim to gropers on the bus, though she can be saved based on the player's choice.
Sanae doesn't like to drink because she is very poor at holding alcohol.
On Sanae's path, she reports that her expensive lingerie was stolen. Sanae immediately blames Yusuke. Based on the player's choice, if the player is also close to Arisa, Arisa will reveal that the real culprit is Ruruka. Otherwise, Yusuke will find out that the culprits are Maria, Emiru, and Ruruka.
Sanae is revealed to have feelings for Yusuke, but she is unable to express her feelings for him when she sees that Yusuke seemed to be close to Arisa.
Also, Yusuke and Sanae will be caught in the act when the family returns from watching a theater play, and Maria expels them from her home. Yusuke and Sanae then rents an apartment where they spend the rest of their lives.
