Any first time hunters hopping in care to share their experience so far? Is it manageable?

Or is there any informative channel doing a playthrough of this? Like from someone who knows what they're doing that you can sort of follow to get a feel for things?

I really want to pick it up but I don't know a meal from a monster.

If a game I want to play comes to PC but not Steam I'm sad to say that I don't even regard it as a PC game anymore, and I just buy it on console instead. It's gotten pretty bad.

With the release of Fortnite I realized that I'm kind of in the minority though. The success of that game kinda shows that Steam isn't all that important, and it really shouldn't be. But it's so convenient, and I'm so invested at this point that actually caring about another storefront isn't likely.

While I'm not interested enough in Fallout 76 for this move to bother me, it does worry me. Because this might be them testing the waters for TES6. And I super don't want to buy a Bethesda game on console where I can't be certain I'll have access to community bug fixes and mods, good frame rate and future proofed graphics.

If I was interested in the game, then absolutely it would influence my buying decision. I either wouldn't buy it at all, or just pick it up on PS4 if the game is good and if like Digital Foundry shows that the game isn't running like absolute garbo.

Whenever I finish Bloodborne, that'll be another one. I originally bought it about two years ago as well, really did not enjoy what I played of it, was inspired by the PS+ announcement to give it another go, fell head over heels in love with it...

Bloodborne for me as well. Pretty sure I played it some time around release and it did absolutely NOTHING for me. I was super down on it. Hopped back in this summer and I love damn near everything about it. The blood vial situation is still terrible, and Estus is Bestus, but it's fine.

I'm so glad the game finally clicked for me. It's easily one of my top 3 souls games now.

Didn't really get that excited about any of the big companies or lineups this year. I've been looking to get a Switch, so I was just disappointed to see that Nintendo's show was a disaster. Didn't see much interesting for PS4 that isn't also coming to PC, which is where I'd prefer to play it, if at all. Bethesda had... an early access survival game with online & crafting, and a heightmap for Elder Scrolls VI.

Yeah, I dunno. FromSoft didn't have their own presser but at least to to me, they won by a mile. Sekiro had an incredible first showing. Major GOTY warning if they can pull it off. Also random Metal Wolf Chaos 4K60 on PC? Hype. Déraciné seems like a completely different thing and From is kind of at its best when they have creative freedom so I can't wait. It still OOZES with FromSoft style storytelling. Can't wait to find out more about it, even if it's a VR title. Unfortunately, still no 60fps PC ports of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. C'mon From (and you too, Sony).

CDPR had a great showing of Cyberpunk 2077 too. OG Netrunner was the first CCG I ever played, so I'm very excited about that one.

Way to ruin a cool thing.

Personally won't be using Humble after this. It's shady on a level that I'm just not comfortable with, even with the charity angle of the site.

Thanks for the write-up. For some reason, I've just been itching for an MMORPG recently… so the success this game is currently seeing on Steam hasn’t escaped me. I mean, it’s a buy to play MMORPG that’s in the top 30 games currently. That kind of blows my mind.

I tried the two other heavy hitters, FF14 and Elder Scrolls, but they did nothing for me. I'm currently messing around with TERA, which I'm having fun with. The main problem I’m having with TERA, however, is that the combat roll (I play as a Slayer) is a cooldown skill.

I’m kind of looking for something more… Dark Souls-y? If that makes sense. And from what you said, it sounds like BDO is at least a bit more active in that sense. Which class would you recommend out of the two you tried? I’m looking for something with a lot of mobility, fluid movement, and something that requires a lot of dodging and dashing.

I mainly solo and do PVE stuff, so I’m a bit worried about the PVP focus this game seems to have, but the life skill stuff sounds kind of interesting. I tend to enjoy the ambiance of just having people around, and prefer social activities that don’t involve raiding/dungeons. Also, does the translation seem fine? I always feel like I'm the only one who reads quest text.
