This is my seventh year writing a Game of the Year list and it’s interesting to look back and see what I’ve enjoyed over the years. I don’t know if my taste in games has changed that much but it always surprises me with the variety of games that I have in my top 10. Then I loaded up my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizon...

2019 was a weird year for me and games. I played a lot of really great games this year but I also bounced off of them earlier on and quite a bit. I also had a more difficult time trying to order this list. Not because each game had an impact on me in a particular way. Because what I had played felt more or less the same as games I have already played. Some of the stuff on this list I haven't fi...

Honorable Mentions Sea of Thieves Donut County Dead Cells Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age 10 - Forza Horizon 4 See my list from 2016. Same thing applies. It’s a good racing game 9 - Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 When Call of Duty is good it's real good. The multiplayer is somewhat back to basics. Meaning there's no boost jumps, wall running or side dashes. It's j...
