Also, the program seems like it's a bit cumbersome for what I actually want to do... I'd prefer something a bit smaller and simpler, like Xpadder, except instead of mapping controller inputs to keyboard inputs (like Xpadder lets you do) I'd want to map controller inputs to other controller inputs.

Alright, so... sometimes I really want to play games using an SNES pad.

I'm using this adapter and this adapter, and it actually works surprisingly well.

It essentially has both of those Gamecube controller ports show up as two seperate "USB Gamepad" drivers, and I believe it's using xInput, since most games recognize it immediately and show the button prompts as xbox360 prompts. However, the only problem is the buttons that it maps to. On any of the controllers I've tried using, the d-pad shows up correctly, as does the start button and the left bumper... however, everything else is weird.

Now, I could just re-map the controls manually for each game but:

1) That's a bit annoying to have to do for each game I play
and
2) I'll have to deal with incorrect on-screen prompts

Does anybody know if there's any software out there that I can use to re-map a game controller's buttons at the system level (changing button 1 to button 3 for instance) instead of having to do it individually for each game?

Wouldn't it be crazy if this was just a playable version of The Yogscast's "Shadow of Israphel" series? XD

Ping Pong is pretty incredible. In fact, anything I've ever watched with Yuasa, Masaaki's involvement has been pretty fantastic. I really need to watch more of his work.

I've also never watched any Golgo 13, despite it being one of those big anime classics. I should probably give it a go at some point.

Anyway, I started watching Mobile Suit Gundam. Started at the beginning with the original 1979 series.
The first 6 or 7 episodes are decent, but don't really have much depth to them in terms of the storytelling...
However... I just finished episode 18, and ever since episode 8 it's been getting increasingly better with each episode.

I have a really vivid memory of this game.
I went with my parents to a "Nobody Beats The Wiz" store around November of 2000, we spent a long time there, because we were getting all the equipment we needed to set up cable internet.

I was 12 years old at the time, and didn't have a Playstation, instead owning a Dreamcast. There's a few things I remember about that visit to that store... I remember digging through the bargin bin there, and that being my first exposure to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, through seeing the Dreamcast game sitting in there. I also remember my parents buying me a copy of Skies of Arcadia that same day as an early Christmas present.

Anyway, I played the demo version of Threads of Fate on the Playstation kiosk there. The demo went through a whole jungle area, chasing after these two cartoony looking hunters or something, as well as the part after that where you're on top of some kind of Aztec looking temple fighting a boss or something. That demo was super captivating, and stuck in my mind for a long time, but I never actually knew the name of the game until just a few years ago. Now I really feel like I should pick it up and play it at some point.

@super2j: I'm planning on watching the show for the first series. It's only 43 episodes, so it's not all that long. I mean, if you break it down, that's only about 18 hours, total.
I spent more time catching up on Detective Conan one summer, or that other summer when I watched a bunch of classic Doctor Who episodes...

I mean, it still is intimidating, for sure. Especially when you begin to factor in the rest of the series, OVAs and Movies as well...
I basically just want to experience it in it's original form, though. Compilation movies just sound like they'd be horribly paced, much like how Evangelion: Death & Rebirth was...

Anyway, I decided to make a chart for all of the Universal Century Gundam I plan to watch before going off to other timelines (this chart basically just excludes the amusement park ride, the live-action TV movie, and the recent 08th MS Team special from 2013):

107 hours?! That's about a full 4 and a half days to get through everything. Holy crapola! o_o
Of course, this chart doesn't include any of the series from the other Gundam universes, so I could easily see that number doubling if I included all of them.

Still, 107 hours seems do-able over the course of 3-4 months... probably even less than that if I really rushed through everything.

@super2j: Heh, I actually just watched that episode about a week ago and never noticed that, lol.

In other news, I've been wanting to watch Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku since last season, but nobody has subtitled it yet. :/
Even though I only understand a handful of Japanese words & phrases, I've been debating just starting to watch the raw episodes of it (which have been consistently going up on Nyaa one day after an episode airs).

I've also been working on finishing up Rurouni Kenshin, despite all of the episodes towards the end of it being filler arcs which rage from "poor" to "semi-decent". I only have 3 episodes left of that, as well as the standalone "episode 95" special, so I should probably just get around to finishing it.
Of course, after finishing the main series, I'm still planning to watch the Trust and Betrayal OVA (which I've heard is the best part of the entire franchise).

Lastly, I've been trying to mentally prepare myself to go on a giant Mobile Suit Gundam binge, starting with the original 1979 series (which is currently just sitting on my hard drive, waiting to be watched), and afterwards, watching everything from the Universal Century timeline, according to the air dates for each series.

So far, I've only seen four things related to Gundam:

• One was a couple episodes of Gundam: 08th MS Team a few years back (although I was only half paying attention to it, since it was just streaming in the background while I was playing some Minecraft)
• The second was one episode of Gundam Seed, back in the day when it aired on Toonami.
• The third was, again, something that aired on Toonami: a few episodes of Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
• and finally, just one episode of SD Gundam Force (which was REALLY bad).

Since I'd be going into the vast, sprawling Gundam franchise pretty-much cold, I've been debating starting up a blog, chronicling my journey through Gundam shows as I go through them and whatnot... Not sure if that would actually be interesting or not, though. What do you guys think?

The Penguin Village arc makes much more sense if you've seen Dr. Slump & Arale-chan, or even if you've just read the Dr. Slump manga. It's basically a crossover with that series. I always found it kind of weird how it just got shoved into the middle of the Red Ribbon saga like that, though.

Lol, it's even worse in the Japanese version, Roshi at that point says something like "You built this thing from household items? I guess you're not just a big-boobed girl, then, huh?"
I always find these moments pretty hilarious, though, mostly just because of Bulma's reactions. :P

Ah, yeah I can see the similarities now that you point them out.

I'm with you on the soundtrack as well. The regular nimbus theme is pretty great, but I feel like this nimbus theme is even better, lol (even though it's only used once or twice):

Be sure to look up the lyrics for this one, it's pretty hilarious.

I think it's simply because the 2012 series went up on CrunchyRoll after the BluRays were already released in Japan. Stardust Crusaders only has the first 2 BluRays released thus far, so there isn't an uncensored version for them to pull from... yet.
