It'd be nice and I do think there's going to be less excuse not having it next gen, but it's not going to be a determining factor for me. I never use it that much in the grand scheme of things.
Not a big Spider-Man guy and wasn't terribly impressed with the first couple of reveals, but it has looked better more recently. It's looks like the kind of AAA title I'll get around to 9 months from now, gonna be tied up with Dragon Quest for the time being.
Absolutely, in fact it the one genre where I buy most of them just to check them out. I'm lazy about getting good at them like labbing combos and playing smarter, but I still appreciate a good fighter immensely. Don't go online a lot, although I've been hopping into BBTag online matches more than usual, so I'm trying to ride the wave for as long as I can while the player base is still decent.
Pre-release wise? Hmm not sure, I get excited about about games (last year's Blazblue Cross Tag reveal was pretty dope) but not "kid before Christmas" levels of anticipation. I try to keep expectation in check since hyped games usually disappoint me to varying degrees. During/after playing? Well not to be too on the nose but I've been pretty obsessed with the Trails series for the last few years since going down that rabbit hole. Otherwise, I'd have to go back to either Skyrim or Persona 4 Golden.
I'm in the camp of preferring Tactics Ogre remake over FFT, but you should definitely play one of them. I've always been a little more attached to Ogre's world, and the psp version is a thing of beauty. Vagrant Story is cool but obtuse and difficult to get into.
I don't know what to say to someone that doesn't like TF's music so...it is what it is. I do get prefering the aesthetic of the SNES games over the more homogeneous bright look of the Retro games, but it's still a pretty good looking game. And I don't get what people hate about how the games handle but opinions. Sounds like your mind's made up dude.
