My Top 10 Games of 2015

Hello. It's January 2016. Happy new year. Here's a list of games that officially released in 2015 that I completed or basically completed, rated by me. Unfortunately, the list is always in descending order, so you'll see my #1 to #10 picks in order from best, to tenth best. My order is absolute.

Anyway, here's Wonderwall:

List items

  • What can I say? It's more Mortal Kombat. It's better Mortal Kombat. Story mode continues where the story from Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Mortal Kombat (commonly referred to as "MK9") left off. It's always excellent. And so is the fighting. Mortal Kombat is the one franchise that will always be near and dear to my heart. I hope it never dies.

  • This game is absolutely incredible. I implore you to play it. Even if you shy away from the whole Metroid style of video games. This holds up on its own merits, and it's a damn good game. Holy god is it a damn good game. A damn good game made by a single person. The story, the visuals, the sound... you have to experience Axiom Verge. Get on it now.

  • Rock Band is back and it's still fun as hell. Harmonix has also continued with the weekly downloadable content songs and song packs since launch. The entire community is hoping Harmonix can eventually bring multiplayer functionality to the game. Campaign mode is solid. It's slightly like the campaign in Rock Band 2. Start a band. Rock the world.

  • Holy wow! Can you believe this game came out in 2015? I can't either. While it doesn't quite reach the spectacle of the original Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2 on its own is still a masterpiece. First off, you'll notice it's a much harder game. The story is alright, but it's Hotline Miami, so prepare to be confused the first time around. The soundtrack is excellent as always. Highly recommended.

  • It's everything you loved about the new Telltale Games products... without actually being a game by Telltale. Perfect example of every single horror trope in every film ever, and it's executed... perfectly for a video game. You're in control of everyone. Can you survive out there until dawn?

  • Hey, it's another Call of Duty game, but it's still fun! I'm not sure what the future has in store for future installments, but I don't think I can ever go back to the pre-"future tech" days of this genre. Definitely fun online.

  • More fun with friends and random people than I could ever imagine. Thank you, Jackbox Games.

  • I never really gave this game a shot until its actual release in 2015. It's a fun game, but definitely not for the faint of heart. I haven't progressed very far in this game myself, but it's a fun little dual-joystick("-ish") rogue-like-lite-life-libe-line-liughhhh shooter game where the ultimate objective is to eventually reach the titular Nuclear Throne, I guess. I mean it tells you that you didn't reach it every time you die, so... yeah, I guess.

  • I'll admit it. I didn't get to play much of this game, but for what it's worth, it's a fun little game. It's also really chill... if you can make sure that you stay chill.

  • I never beat this game. What I now know was the penultimate stage in the game... it was just too much for me. That said, it is a pretty incredible and very unique card game that also throws in some action. It's not easy. But completing a round in the Hand of Fate... it feels good.
