The prequels were the first Star Wars movies I saw. I grew up with them. I like them quite a bit, and after watching all of the movies last year (which I'm doing again pretty soon to prepare for The Force Awakens) I still actually enjoy them a lot. I recognize the things people don't like about them but even after so many years of hate I still find my opinion unchanged. Maybe it'll be different when I start watching all of them again tomorrow? I guess we'll see. If anything I feel like the Jedi in the prequels are undoubtedly far better than they are in the original trilogy (their decision-making is perhaps questionable but the fighting style in the prequels is incredible). And Ewen McGregor as Obi-Wan is one of my favorite characters of all time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just finished the main quest line (sided with the Institute) and yeah that was rough. The Institute truly feels like the best option because all it needs is a leadership change to reverse its isolationist policies. Open its doors, start treating Synths like humans, use the nuclear reactor to power the Commonwealth. There's no reason why any of this can't happen except for the fact that the game doesn't give you these options. So now I'm left as the leader of an organization I have no control over and it seems like my companions hate me now because of it.

I really disliked this quest. Honest Dan had a lot of potential but just stood in front of a tree for half of it. I solved it pretty quickly (I stopped their operation) and was annoyed that the entire town decided to come running out to kill me, forcing me to massacre the entire settlement not even an hour after meeting them. Weak!

I found an explosive combat shotgun and tricked it out with the best mods. It has a damage rating of over 100 and basically breaks the game on any difficulty below Hard because of how devastating it is. I renamed it The Terrible Shotgun as I've done with every better shotgun I've gotten in the game, to keep up the legacy of the best gun in Fallout 3.

I usually find stuff like this to be difficult to notice as I go along but I actually haven't noticed any change on PS4 after 60ish hours. That being said, the framerate has consistently been super bad in certain buildings (when there's combat). Gets a bit rough out there.

Alright, I've been playing on Hard for a bit and like several people said it feels like a good balance. I'm wearing a trench coat so my only defense comes from the level two endurance perk that I have. Need to be careful but if I land good shots enemies will go down nicely (haven't fought any Super Mutants on hard yet though).

I didn't even know there were difficulty settings I just pushed start New Game and it loaded right into the game. Do they affect trophy/achievements?

You change it in gameplay settings after you start the game. And nope, no difficulty achievements/trophies.

Hey all, I assume most people are probably on the default difficulty/normal, but I wanted to see if anyone has given Survivalist a shot. I began the game on this mode, having just finished Witcher 3 on Death March and loving it. But after roughly 15 or so hours I've decided to turn it down. I don't think Bethesda does a great job with difficulty balancing (their last several games have been like this); playing on Survivalist means dying in just a few hits while all of your opponents take several clips to down. I'm talking 5-6 shots from a fully upgraded combat shotgun to the head to kill. It's nuts! I like struggling to maintain a good supply of ammo, but from my experience Survivalist discourages exploration because I end up using all of my ammo in a single firefight (and enemies are so finicky with stealth on Survivalist that so far it's not even viable).

I'm gonna try switching my playthrough to easy or normal but wear normal clothes instead of armor, so I can maybe preserve the danger of combat without having to deal with superpowered opponents. Is anyone still sticking with Survivalist or another hard mode? What's your experience been like?

I'm a fan of continuing Life is Strange in a Playdate. I think Choose Our Own Adventure would work better as a 1 show for each game kind of thing.
