This really struck a chord with me. There are lots of friends (ah, mostly former friends) with whom I played online for hours throughout high school, but we don't play online together anymore, save for a very, very few people. I still think back on those days and am sad that they're over. Seems silly since it's just video games at some point, but it's similar to having a favorite food place or sports field where you used to meet up with friends. Just, not anymore.

I'm actually having more trouble with Torb's turrets than Bastion. I've never won a match against a team that had three or more Torbs. Once you have that many level 2 turrets (and eventually level 3 when they pop their ult) it makes getting through the area impossible. I almost wonder if the turrets should blow up when he dies, or if the cool down on his turret placement should not start until his turret is destroyed. As it is now, Torb can sit in cover and constantly have a turret up the entire match.

I stopped after the first fight but I already love it haha. Milton de Peyrac-Peyran is a phenomenal name. Kicking myself for not getting through all the books before this expansion.

I operated a front-end loader for a concrete and aggregate company for two summers filling dump trucks and the sand/gravel bins for concrete production. A dump truck driver once introduced himself to me as Iceman and he had slicked back black hair. It was pretty cool.

Excellent, I've never watched a full episode. Those fade transitions are killing me. I love it.

@pompouspizza: No refresher on controls. I find them to be pretty intuitive and easy to remember; it's mostly about reminding yourself what skills you've unlocked and how to use them.

This DLC is seriously great. The buggy and the wide open fields of zombies change the pace of the game in a really great way. It actually feels a bit like Far Cry now in that you're driving through this open world to get to outposts (in this case, farms and houses). I also like that there's a dense little town to explore, so it hasn't totally lost the verticality of the main game.

Anyone else playing on the new nightmare difficulty? I played through the game on Hard on my first playthrough and was excited that they introduced a new one. Liking it quite a bit so far, though I don't particularly enjoy fighting Demolishers (The Following seems to have them in abundance). I also think the human enemies are way too bullet-spongey.

Very excited for this and all the "enhanced edition" improvements that they're patching into the game. My only worry is the lack of verticality compared to the main game. Hopefully the buggies are fun enough to make up for it.

I'm an American so that's pretty much covered everywhere anyway. For me it's more about games being set in places I love, like Boston, or places I've lived in (I got a kick out of Bioshock Infinite beginning off the coast of Maine, where I grew up).

More often than not I find myself wishing games would be more dark at night so that it has an actual effect on gameplay. Dying Light seems to do this pretty well.
