There have been rumours that Sony has been putting pressure on these discount programs to stop offering the discounts. Sony games haven't been available for preorder on Amazon for a little while, and GCU being discontinued seems like it could be a result of pressure from Sony.

Amazon probably have the clout to hold out, but it should be interesting to see how this all goes.

@thisisdell: I'll just warn you, Rorie always gets swamped with emails whenever there is a sale on so he might not be super speedy in responding, but he'll definitely get back to you when he can.

Skyrim is definitely more recognizable than TES, but I don't think that's an issue. Oblivion was far more recognizable too, and Skyrim didn't have any issues. They'll market the hell out of it, reference Skyrim a bunch and everyone will know that it is the follow up to Skyrim, whether you follow games closely or not.

Yup. I remember being really stoked to get Burnout Paradise three days early from Grainger Games ten years ago.

I've never had any problems in-game, but I have noticed that the download speeds drop dramatically when it is undocked compared to docked. I don't know if that's a wifi issue or something else the hardware is doing to slow down downloads when it is undocked, but it is definitely happening.
