Kirby's last outing on the Wii is a fitting installment. 0

The charming impression Kirby tends to leave on most people is something a lot of competitors just can't seem to produce. Arguably Nintendo's cutest, and perhaps most accessible mascot, Kirby has generally been a character who's never quite seen the spotlight to the extent Mario or Zelda have. But Kirby always seems to land a quality gig, and with Return to Dream Land, the trend remains true as we see the pink puff end his Wii career with some classic co-operative platforming action.Unlike Epic ...

Killzone 2 0

Killzone 2 has been said to be "one of those" games. What I mean is that it was one of those games that had been so distended with hype that it seemed no matter the outcome of the final product, it would never meet the expectations that the argumentative masses had placed upon it. Or so I thought. You see ladies and gentlemen, Killzone 2 has definitely met these expectations and so much more. So in another way, Killzone 2 is "one of those games" that so rarely play the part. The game starts as yo...

Fable II 0

Whether or not the original Fable lived up to expectations is still up for debate. Some people say it was exactly what they wanted, and some said it was "a great game, but it didn't live up to expectations". I would probably put myself in the latter group of people. However, Fable II is not only great, but it lived up to what I expected from it. This is, in my opinion, Peter Molyneux's best game, and he should be proud.Fable II is set in Albion 500 years after the original Fable took place. This...

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 0

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a new game from Naughty Dog, the same studio who developed the Crash Bandicoot series on the original Playstation. A great thing about Uncharted if you're a Crash fan is that you'll notice some mechanics that they implemented in the old games and carried it over to Uncharted. Needlessly to say, Naughty Dog have taken a mature approach to the next generation, and they have done so rather well. In Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, you follow the story of Nathan Drake, anc...

Geometry Wars: Galaxies 0

Geometry Wars has evolved into it's own with Geometry Wars Galaxies. For those that are unfamiliar with the series, Geometry Wars was an unlockable mini-game in PGR2 on the XBOX, and then made into an Xbox Live Arcade game on the Xbox 360 under the name Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. I'm pleased to say that Geometry Wars has finally done just that, evolved, with Geometry Wars Galaxies on the DS and Wii.  However, it's not without its flaws. The largest flaw I noticed was the control scheme. In Ga...

God of War: Chains of Olympus 0

Kratos is back and he's as badass as ever. This time he makes an appearance on Sony's PSP, in God of War: Chains of Olympus. The game in question serves as a prequel to the original God of War on the PS2, which was pretty much by no other definition amazing. I'm pleased to say that Chains of Olympus follows suit and is undeniably a must-own title if you're a God of War fan, or an action fan alike. If you're looking for that one game you need for your collection, here it is. The game starts out...

Soulcalibur IV 0

Soulcalibur IV is the fifth installment in the Soul series which originated about twelve years ago, and it’s the fourth Soulcalibur game, if you couldn’t tell by the title. The series itself is raved about for having one of the most balanced combat system in a fighting series ever. Namco Bandai maintains that, even though sometimes it feels kind of cheap with specific characters, throughout Soulcalibur IV, but there are some issues with the game that some people will not like in the least bit.  ...

Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 0

Burst Limit is the most recent entry into the long running Dragon Ball Z fighting series. It released in early June right in the middle of such releases like Ninja Gaiden II and Metal Gear Solid 4. It's a tough time to release a game, but I feel Atari has done something good with the Dragon Ball Z name, however unfortunately it's not all that different from the previous Dragon Ball Z games, and really doesn't have staying power. There's a lot in the game to talk about, so let's...

Mario Kart Wii 0

The Mario Kart series has always been great because of two reasons. One, is the cool-factor of racing with your favorite Nintendo characters. Two, because you can have a blast with friends. While these two things are present in Mario Kart Wii, and in one case improved upon, it's definitely not the best game in the series. While playing, I was never feeling like it was a Wii game in itself. Rather, I felt like I was playing some good old Mario Kart, which isn't a bad thing, ...
