@vincenzorampage: The primary topic is the article at the top of the page. Some related tangents are to be expected, but some people are getting pretty far off in the weeds and digging up incredibly dated topics of discussion that are potentially detrimental to the chances of keeping things focused and civil here.

Please try to stay on topic. Some lines of discussion here are getting way off track, and we may delete some of them to try to refocus the conversation.

Liberals, libertarians and conservatives are united in GamerGate by varying mixes of legitimate concern about ethics, misogyny, anti-feminism and opposition to progressives.

This is an extremely confusing sentence for a number of reasons, not the least of which is because it seems extremely contradictory.

@vierastalo: I'm sure they'll address it if it ends up being a Master Chief Collection tier disaster, but if I remember correctly, that game had a lot of issues even pre-release.

Huh, I wasn't expecting they'd return to the dual protagonist format.

I suppose it might be a surprise if you haven't been following the game at all, but I feel like they've been pretty up front about it since the initial reveal. There's even two dudes on the cover art. Not to mention the fact that they've been putting out a lot of fiction to flesh out Locke's backstory in the lead up to Halo 5.

Can you not fly up and down, here?

Correct. All of your movement is restricted to a flat plane. I don't really see how this style of combat could work if it wasn't, and that restriction does make navigation a whole hell of a lot easier to handle.

@chaser324: it was commonly referred to as "gleeking" in California when I was a kid, maybe it's a regional thing. Either way, it's disgusting.

It may have just been an extremely local thing, but kids in the area of South Carolina where I grew up called it "skeeting" - this was before Lil Jon had popularized that to mean something totally different.

Regardless of what you call it, it's super gross.

I'd never heard it referred to as "gleeking", but I always thought it was gross when kids in school would do it. Prior to today, I don't think I'd ever seen anyone outside of school age children do it.

The Spike Lee story narrative is a cool idea to inject some new life into sports series but the implementation here sounds exceptionally poor.

Yeah. On its own, Spike Lee's story is solid enough, but it's essentially just a film that you watch while you play a few games in between. The gameplay and the story you're watching are totally disconnected from each other, which isn't really what you want in a video game. Also, railroading you through the first year of your NBA career and giving you no power to change its course is pretty antithetical to what MyCareer has been about since its creation.
